On 24th March 20XX, a transmission entered cyberspace and began to flash rapidly across several social networks. The transmission could not be traced or identified, and did not seem aware of its own presence in the online world.

Its creator – a user known only under the alias of Clever Girl – first utilized the broadcast as a plea for help, writing from an abandoned research facility in the city of XXXXXXXX. She spoke of a potentially global crisis, of experiments gone terribly awry (referenced often as the ‘Midas Plague’) and of ‘hostiles’ which had infested the research facility, trapping her inside.

Receiving no reply, she continues to transmit regularly, using her broadcasts as both a log for the developing situation and as a mechanism to cope with her own wavering sense of self.

New transmissions appear on a weekly basis.
